About

Scott Wild is a self-taught amateur photographer. Amateur in the sense that he takes photos for himself with no expectation of reward. He’s dabbled in photography on and off since he was a teenager when he got his first “real” camera, a Pentax K1000, which he still has. He rediscovered photography a few years ago and started taking it seriously, spending most of his spare time elevating his skills.

He grew up in a tiny town in the Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York. His childhood was spent exploring the many ponds, lakes, trails, and deep forests of the region. While many rural kids can’t wait to trade country living for urban excitement, Scott formed a profound appreciation for quiet, natural beauty that still intrigues and inspires him today.

He lives in northwestern Vermont with his longtime girlfriend, two wonderful FIV+ cats, and a judgmental tortoise. When he’s not taking photos, he explores the paved and dirt roads of Vermont on a motorcycle.
